Everyday is MOTHERs DAY...

THIS BLOG ORIGINALLY POSTED ON by Chetan Padhya on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 6:56pm.

Mother!!! A price every child gets from God… She holds their children’s hand for a while but their hearts forever… however I was not very lucky enough to hold her hand for long throughout my life… I was just 12 yrs and just started to understand the importance of her presence but couldn’t get the time to understand her enough… Miss you Mom… Damu & strength of my life…

She always remained up-to date in the house or at school or on social gatherings. Every year, she used buy 6 Saris with a dozen blouses ONLY from Mafatlal-Malad. Red, Black & White were her fixed colors & All Sari were roll pressed & blouses were tight ironed by Papa. Papa was the one who loved to do all for her “Damu”.

She was very well planned in house & papa was her diehard fan & because of this quality, we were benefited to visit new places during our childhood time. Along-with Morai & Vapi, Matheran was the best places we must have visited so frequently. Because of her disciplined nature, Maheshmama always ensured that we get pickup on bullock carts & roam village in same cart.

We have always lived & travel like a KING & lived lavish life with MY PARENTS. Regularly visiting hotel, were their mutual idea. In the 1st & last week of every month, we used to visit either "SUGANDHI VIHAR" or "JAIN" Kandivali or "VISHAWA", Dadar for having variety food of our own choice. Since both parents were well earning, we used enjoyed life as if living only for PRESENT moments & Mom always used tell us that "NAUKRI E TO JINDAGI NO ROTLO CHHE" & because of the same reason, till today our family gets PENSION from Mom's Government JOB. She was very futuristic & that’s a reason she had made arrangements for both the sisters marriage while they were just studied in 7th or 8th Standard.

Damu… our mom, and love of my dad’s life. We loved food prepared by mom, even when Brinjal were made, even though papa hates it, he never used to say a single word & segregate potatoes for himself as he LOVED Mom like everything… more than his life. She was an amazing cook, we all used to admire her... she gave the same in heritage to my sisters and in a ways to our bahus in the family too…

Mom was a strict Teacher in School. Kids & co-workers were keeping distance from her as her work pattern & behavior management was better than everyone, even the Principal. One day, a BLACK Dog chew my BUM, My Sis & Mom were the 1st one to rescue me. Surprise, they did nothing except to Suuuoooo away the dog & put Ponds Talcum powder on blood shaded BUM. It's been 30 years of that incident now & I am still happily alive.

She was all-time healthy & she gave the same immune system to us & we never had any family doctor. But my mom passed away in young age when I was 12 years.. just a kid… and left to heaven abode, leaving everyone in surprise....

Damu... October 10 1987, Rest in peace, It's been 25 years now & I still MISS you, Mom... Today on a mother’s day… even though I feel that I am just 12 yrs as you left me… without you, I  just want to say…

O Ri Chiraiya, Meri Chiraiya; Angna mein phir aaja re,
Tere pankho mein saare sitare jadoon, Teri chunar dhanak satrangi bunoon,
Tere kajal mein main kaali raina bharoon ,Teri mehandi mein main kachchi dhoop maloon,
Tere naino sajaa doon naya sapna…..
O ri Chiraiya, Meri Chiraiya; Angna mein phir aaja re.
