Holi Celebration...

This was for the 1st time, I played Holi in my newly shifted apartment....Everyone in new building knows that I do lot of pranks with people but only limited to
my circle people...

How come we missed thandai (edible preparation of cannabis) & methi bhajia as it is important part of holi celebration...someone arranged a strong bhang from Madhav baug temple, CP tank &

due to heavy dose, one female had adverse kick...She was crying for no reasons for almost 2 hours...We try our best to regain her consciousness but all in vain...It was fun watching these scenes....

We had color blast holi as we had bought 12 kg of fragrance gulal (a Red powder) followed by DJing from my 150RMS Home theatre...

The fun was expecting to be end by p.m. as we had delicious Guajarati buffet in society premises... Myself, Shilpa & Dhyeya were about to proceeds for lunch & all of sudden my chaddi buddies friend bang my door to attacked me with gulal....After 2008 onwards, I always went out of Mumbai to celebrate Holi with this chaddi Buddies hence it was double fun to be playing Holi in Mumbai...U can see that in morning I was wearing black t-shirt/Bermuda & in noon, I was in green T-shirt/shorts..

Holi is one of my favorite festival that I never miss to celebrate with my near & dear ones & this time actually Holi is on Sunday means
SUNDAY IS "HOLI"DAY...

Love thy parent by Anna Daan

Every living soul on this planet loved their parents but very few people love others parent. Associated with well to do family, may not bring to such destitute elders in one's life.
Parents doesn't expect any expensive gadgets from their child but they are more than happy with the time, ones child give them, talk to them, give happy smile & take care of them but few human species on this earth abandon their parents & elderly man/women end up going to some ashram or temples who offers them food for life. During my Dwarka visit also I witness Importance of "Tula Daan"- the importance of food for such abandon elders.

Associated with few NGO's gives me thrill to do more for these elders. They were all bring under one roof from different ashram, mumbai roads & temples. All these elders need is,  to listen to our voices. We can never understand how lonely they feel without their kid. They have to celebrate most of the festivals without them. We can happily celebrate here with our friends but think about our parent (if you are not staying with them). Our presence is the only thing which can make them happy. But, we are not there with them (because of various reasons). It makes them sad but they don't make us realise that.

So, this is the least possible thing we can do to make these destitute elders happy & Would you even like extend your support for good cause then you message, whatsApp or call me...anytime, any day...

God & their pet animals

Recently one my close relative posted his experience with his kid anti-non vegetarians behaviour in posh Restaurant. His son reluctantly didn't ate non-veg food & his experience made me think of my prayers & love for these animals.

Every prayer, I make in my temple, made me think of all Animals/birds i loved & accompanied by our Hindu gods....

The Hindu faith, the cradle of which is India, is a religion which dotes upon the birds and animals. In fact, the religion has bestowed the fur, feathers and fins species the status of divinity by linking their multifarious gods and goddesses to various animals/birds.

The gods and goddesses in Hindu mythology travel in supersonic speed on these animals/birds. Different gods have different vahanas (animal vehicles). The literal meaning of the word ‘vahana’ is ‘that which carries, that which pulls’. Mesopotamian gods and goddesses were all associated with vahanas.

Every day, I pray to Lord Ganesha- who himself in the form of Elephant & accompanied by Mouse.
I pray to Lord Shiva- accompanied by Holy bull named Nandi & Cobra Snake around his neck.
I pray to Lord Krishna- accompanied by Holy Cow & Peakock.
I pray to Lord Surya- accompanied by White Horse.
I pray to Lord Vishnu- accompanied by Eagle called Garuda.
I pray to Lord Narsimha- who himself in the form of Lion.
I pray to godess Durga- who accompanied by Lion.
Indra the God of Rain comes with white elephant called Airavat.

I also pray tortoise in my temple for spreading peace & harmony...

Matsya (a fish) is one the form of Lord Vishnu...

I also pray to goodness Saraswati for giving me this knowledge & wisdom so that I m able write this, is also accompanied by white Swan....

If one loved Soul, one love every living being....& our Kids are role model for it....

DHWAJAAROHAN AT DWARKA TEMPLE

Generally we observe our country’s national flag hoisted on the top of Parliament House, Rashtrapathi Bhavan, Assembly Hall, residences of VVIPs, Prime Govt. Offices, National monuments etc… Even the vehicles of VVIPS carry the national flag. We also find important temples and religious places across the country adorned with their own flags. A flag thus hoisted is denoted as a symbol of pride, honour, recognition and prestige of that particular office, or person. In religious parlance, such flag is known as Dhwaja. We find generally, all the temples in Hindu religion have a pillar in front of its Deity known as Dhwaja Sthambam. In olden days, Emperors and Kings used to have their flag on the top of their chariots. In Mahabharata war we find Arjuna’s chariot adorned with a flag having a symbol of Lord Hanuman.

Similar such Dhwaja (flag) we find on the peak of Dwarkadheesh temple, adorned by a unique multi coloured flag, having symbols of Sun and Moon depicted on the flag that keeps waving continuously. Hoisting of flag on the temple top of Dwarkadheesh at Dwarka has a unique significance. Devotees of Dwarkadheesh attach special importance to offering Dhwaja to Dwarkadheesh's Jagat Mandir. Devotees volunteer to offer Dhwaja to the Lord out of faith. This flag or Dhwaja is changed four times in a day and on Thursdays it is changed five times. Booking has to be made three months in advance for performing this ritual.

Several devotees vow to hoist Dhwaja of their own on the Dwarkadheesh temple on fulfillment of their desires. It is a kind of faith, worship and form to offer prayers to the Lord Sri Krishna. It is a form of expressing their gratitude to the Lord by unfurling a new flag on the summit of the temple. It becomes a festival, a religious ritual in the family. A devotee celebrates and performs Dhwajaarohan as per his wish and capacity. He invites his friends and relatives. They ceremonially carry the Dhwaja (flag) on their heads, moves towards Dwarkadheesh temple in a procession, chanting songs and slogans in praise of the Lord. A prayer is offered to Dhwaja traditionally with the help of learned priests. Dhwaja is placed at Lotus feet of Dwarkadheesh with offerings and then it is handed over for hoisting. As an accomplishment of the whole process, the priest throws a coconut from top of the peak to mark the Dhwajaarohan but now with time passby, coconut breaking has been abandoned by temple management & same is done nearby temple area. The pieces of the broken coconut are distributed as the Lord's prasadam. Dwarka Gugali Brahmin Samaj(Shilpa maternal sides are Gugali, whereas my Maternal sides are 84 mevadas)  manages this rituals of temple activities whereas Dhwajaarohan Aboti Brahmin Samaj by the devotees.

Overwhelming response to booking of such Dhwaja speak volumes of faith devotees have in Dwarkadheesh (Lord Sri Krishna). Incidentally, till 1965 only one Dhwaja used to be offered to the Lord in a day. After Dwarka got unscathed despite bombing on Dwarka by the Pakistani Air force during 1965 war, people’s faith in Dwarkadheesh got multiplied. As a result it was decided to have four Dhwaja during the day.

A GOOD LESSON FOR PROFESSIONAL.

Some, rather most organizations reject his CV today because he has changed jobs frequently (10 in 14 years). My friend, the ˜job hopper™ (referred here as Mr. JH), does not mind it. well he does not need to mind it at all. Having worked full-time with 10 employer companies in just 14 years gives Mr. JH the relaxing edge that most of the ˜company loyal™ employees are struggling for today. Today, Mr. JH too is laid off like some other 14-15 year experienced guys “ the difference being the latter have just worked in 2-3 organizations in the same number of years. Here are the excerpts of an interview with Mr. JH:
Q: Why have you changed 10 jobs in 14 years?
A: To get financially sound and stable before getting laid off the second time.
Q: So you knew you would be laid off in the year 2009?
A: Well I was laid off first in the year 2002 due to the first global economic slowdown. I had not got a full-time job before January 2003 when the economy started looking up; so I had struggled for almost a year without job and with compromises.
Q: Which number of job was that?
A: That was my third job.
Q: So from Jan 2003 to Jan 2009, in 6 years, you have changed 8 jobs to make the count as 10 jobs in 14 years?
A: I had no other option. In my first 8 years of professional life, I had worked only for 2 organizations thinking that jobs are deserved after lot of hard work and one should stay with an employer company to justify the saying ˜employer loyalty™. But I was an idiot.
Q: Why do you say so?
A: My salary in the first 8 years went up only marginally. I could not save enough and also, I had thought that I had a ˜permanent™ job, so I need not worry about ˜what will I do if I lose my job™. I could never imagine losing a job because of economic slowdown and not because of my performance. That was January 2002.
Q: Can you brief on what happened between January 2003 and 2009.
A: Well, I had learnt my lessons of being ˜company loyal™ and not ˜money earning and saving loyal™. But then you can save enough only when you earn enough. So I shifted my loyalty towards money making and saving “ I changed 8 jobs in 6 years assuring all my interviewers about my stability.
Q: So you lied to your interviewers; you had already planned to change the job for which you were being interviewed on a particular day?
A: Yes, you can change jobs only when the market is up and companies are hiring. You tell me “ can I get a job now because of the slowdown? No. So one should change jobs for higher salaries only when the market is up because that is the only time when companies hire and can afford the expected salaries.
Q: What have you gained by doing such things?
A: That's the question I was waiting for. In Jan 2003, I had a fixed salary (without variables) of say Rs. X p.a. In January 2009, my salary was 8X. So assuming my salary was Rs.3 lakh p.a. in Jan 2003, my last drawn salary in Jan 2009 was Rs.24 lakh p.a. (without variable). I never bothered about variable as I had no intention to stay for 1 year and go through the appraisal process to wait for the company to give me a hike.
Q: So you decided on your own hike?
A: Yes, in 2003, I could see the slowdown coming again in future like it had happened in 2001-02. Though I was not sure by when the next slowdown would come, I was pretty sure I wanted a ˜debt-free™ life before being laid off again. So I planned my hike targets on a yearly basis without waiting for the year to complete.
Q: So are you debt-free now?
A: Yes, I earned so much by virtue of job changes for money and spent so little that today I have a loan free 2 BR flat (1200 sq.. feet) plus a loan free big car without bothering about any EMIs. I am laid off too but I do not complain at all. If I have laid off companies for money, it is OK if a company lays me off because of lack of money.
Q: Who is complaining?
A: All those guys who are not getting a job to pay their EMIs off are complaining. They had made fun of me saying I am a job hopper and do not have any company loyalty. Now I ask them what they gained by their company loyalty; they too are laid off like me and pass comments to me “ why will you bother about us, you are already debt-free. They were still in the bracket of 12-14 lakh p.a.. when they were laid off.
Q: What is your advice to professionals?
A: Like Narayan Murthy had said “ love your job and not your company because you never know when your company will stop loving you." In the same lines, "love yourself and your family needs, more than the company's needs. Companies can keep coming and going; family will always remain the same. Make money for yourself first and simultaneously make money for the company, not the other way around."
Q: What is your biggest pain point with companies?
A: When a company does well, its CEO will address the entire company saying, "Well done guys, it is YOUR company, keep up the hard work, I am with you." But when the slowdown happens and the company does not do so well, the same CEO will say, "It is MY company and to save the company, I have to take tough decisions including asking people to go." So think about your financial stability first; when you get laid off, your kids will complain to you and not your boss.

Ganpati Bappa

Shilpa holding Ganpati look-a-like small vegetable in her hand. Its coincidence she brought vegetables of Yellow/Red Capsicum & this green colored came across Manju's hand. Manju is stating Maghi Ganpati is around the corners & people are welcoming whole hearted this occasion. Today she made sezwan noodles from Red & Yellow bell paper & she got this from inside of red bell paper. Tomorrow his bday and starting of maghi Ganapathi...

it was indeed bit surprised but with pleasure my friends visited my home temple where this deity has been worshiped. For someone, its just piece of vegetable but for us, almighty Ganesha....
2015 was 1st time, we had brought Lord Ganesha Idol at my New Home & during Ganeshostav festival, I could not performed an ritualistic activities of Ganesh emersion. This was because my real cousin has passed away on 2nd day hence Ganesha emersion was performed by my closest friends. We all were very sad because we had invited Lord Ganesha for 1st time & leaving within 2 day & moreover, we couldn't perform emersion activity, we desired for. We cried a lot & expect if could performed by by us.

Now see the circle of life, we were back on same track where we left - for this small tiny form of Lord Ganesha, me &
Shilpa decided to perform an emersion activity & hence we decided to visit naturally created pond near my house. We were assuming it would be empty & we went back yard. To my surprise, all devotees of Maghi Ganpati were performing emersion activity on the front entrance. Being too long circle, I was in dilemma & all of sudden I realized few bikers were using shortcut to reach to pond.
By the time I reach the spot, lot of other group had arrived for
emersions. Devotees were dancing, chanting on kartalas, few people were playing & sprinkling holi colors & so on. We both were swinging in same enthusiasm of Ganeshostav.

With small prayer, we went inside pond
emersion area where we envisaged same feeling of Ganeshostav emersion around us. God has created same environment for us so that we won’t feel loneliness.

We try did, what best we can & sometime life expectancy is different for each souls. Circle of life is working in all aspects, whether u believe in it or no. If u demand happiness, universe will give
happiness but Good or bad karma will return back what u have performed in past.
Happy Living To All Soul...

Amachi Maati, Ammcha Manasa....

I have heard of Sai Rath Yatra but amazed to see millions of people gathered for accepting prasadam from Sai Bhandara.

On one side of Temple, 1000s of people were dancing on DJing music. They were performing typical Maharashtraian LAVANI, teenage girls were dancing wearing traditional dresses in green, red & purple colour navvari. Few girls were swinging round, holding & knotting each others fingers & palm strongly. Faster one swings, better controlling each others will have. Few males were so heavily drunk that they felling on other dancers but i noticed not a single females were touched. Both genders were dancing in their respective groups. Such a huge crowd & I see, not a single policeman. As if lord himself is taking care of every soul...

Today is biggest day for few people as they can enjoy unlimited free prasadam including pure ghee cladded Puri, Ladoos, Undhayu(mixed vegetables), rice & dal. Each person were enjoying food like never before. I could gaze few families wrapping puris & bhaji for following day as if they were not sure when would they get deliciously made food again... I recommended them to take as much they want.

Everyone make sure to take darshan of lord Sri Saibaba & I am no more exceptional to it. Its different experience to be between them.

As per estimated head counts, this year around 5,000 people are expected to have Sai Bhanadara Free Meal & its diff experience to such huge crowd.
